The Lab

Welcome to the Consciousness and Cognition laboratory at the University of Cambridge. Our overarching interest is in answering the question of how attention and cognition are modulated by different states of consciousness. A particular focus has been cognition during the transition from wakefulness to sleep. Other projects have looked at signal complexity in ageing, sedation and disorders of consciousness. More recently, we have been developing new methods for studying the contents of consciousness during sleep onset, and for capturing aspects of the  dynamics of the phenomenology of continuous states.
